When it comes to bruxism which is the word given to teeth grinding by doctors, it is very important to stop it as fast as possible because it can ruin your smile by flattening your teeth. Not to mention its symptoms which are headaches in the day and pain in the jaw. There are many ways to treat teeth grinding and one that many people look to right away it the night guard but it is not the best choice and I will explain why and I will also tell you some better ways.
The first reason why it is not a good method is because it can be very expensive even with dental insurance because it is not like any other mouth guard that you buy at the stores. You have to have one that is made just for your mouth and that has to be done through a dentist. You can just imagine the amount of money it will end up being.

Another thing you should do is consume more tea and avoid coffee and soft drinks because those contain caffeine and that makes you more active, which means your muscles are stimulated and so they start contracting.
As you can see there are many ways to stop teeth grinding other that getting a night guard and being worried about how you will pay it off!
